Signed, sealed, delivered…
While spacing out in chemistry class, Lily scribbles some of her favorite song lyrics onto her desk. The next day, she finds that someone has continued the lyrics on the desk and added a message to her. Intrigue!
Soon, Lily and her anonymous pen pal are exchanging full-on letters—sharing secrets, recommending bands, and opening up to each other. Lily realizes she’s kind of falling for this letter writer. Only, who is he? As Lily attempts to unravel the mystery and juggle school, friends, crushes, and her crazy family, she discovers that matters of the heart can’t always be spelled out…

MY THOUGHTS
“Words brought us together though they almost kept us apart.
You trusted me with your secrets and then you stole my heart.”
It is my first book of Kasie West, It is a cute high school story of Lily who is different from others MC I have read, She is totally family oriented, always there for her family, a good sister, and daughter. You got my point? Her priority is her family even best friend comes after that. She got a different sense of humor and practically don’t have any friend except Iz. She is a self-taught guitarist and passionate about songwriting.
“But then I think: my guitar is just a thing. You know? And my brother is a person. A thing is not more important than a person…”
It is a Love/Hate story…I liked the chemistry between Lily and Cade but the sudden transformation could be better. If we talk about the story, I liked the whole mysterious pen pal scenario, bonding among characters is adorable but the story is totally predictable, the writing was also a bit off for me.
Though I enjoyed the book, If you want to read something light you can try it, but don’t expect much.
“You’re my favorite way to pass the time. But time stands still when you’re on my mind.”
Great review. I still to this day have never read a Kasie West. Maybe someday.

I’ve heard lots of good thinks about Kasie West but I generally don’t read cute contemporary YA. Thank you for your review though.
