Obsidio (The Illuminae Files #3)-Book Review

Obsidio (The Illuminae Files, #3)Kady, Ezra, Hanna, and Nik narrowly escaped with their lives from the attacks on Heimdall station and now find themselves crammed with 2,000 refugees on the container ship, Mao. With the jump station destroyed and their resources scarce, the only option is to return to Kerenza—but who knows what they’ll find seven months after the invasion?

Meanwhile, Kady’s cousin, Asha, survived the initial BeiTech assault and has joined Kerenza’s ragtag underground resistance. When Rhys—an old flame from Asha’s past—reappears on Kerenza, the two find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict.

With time running out, a final battle will be waged on land and in space, heroes will fall, and hearts will be broken.

MY THOUGHTS

“Every story needs its hero. And its villain. And its monster.”

I couldn’t ask for a more perfect ending. It got everything one should expect from this trilogy.

The whole ‘verse building is beyond amazing, Every character is so different and well written, only character’s development is worth reading, the story got the REAL diversity,.Amie and Jay both make a perfect team. I can’t wait to read the Aurora Rising.

We get to meet Asha and Rhys( Yes again a Rhys) in this book. Kady, Ezra, Hanna, Nik and Ella set the bar so high, that these two characters were too normal in front of them, but I have to say that these ones got a chemistry. They played an important role in the story.

AIDAN, I am not going to judge him anymore, he is unpredictable which makes him one of the most interesting characters I’ve ever read. He slowly getting the thing known as HUMOR.

“I am not good. Nor am I evil. I am no hero. Nor am I villain. I am AIDAN.”

I am in love with everything about this book, from writing to characters, world-building to the plot, what is there not to like?

This story is not about Right and wrong, It is about how one act in the certain situation, I completely agree with Aidan’s concept here.

This book doesn’t have many illustrations but it didn’t affect the story at all.

I don’t know how long it will take me to read normal books without illustrations and the characters who don’t have built-in humour and sarcasm.

“Live a life worth dying for.”

I recommend it to each and every one.

    1. Piece of Advice, don’t try to read Gemina without having Obsidio, Gemina’s ending is intense cliff hanger, I hope you’ll love these 🙂
