WARCROSS-Book Review

For the millions who log in every day, Warcross isn’t just a game—it’s a way of life. The obsession started ten years ago and its fan base now spans the globe, some eager to escape from reality and others hoping to make a profit. Struggling to make ends meet, teenage hacker Emika Chen works as a bounty hunter, tracking down players who bet on the game illegally. But the bounty hunting world is a competitive one, and survival has not been easy. Needing to make some quick cash, Emika takes a risk and hacks into the opening game of the international Warcross Championships—only to accidentally glitch herself into the action and become an overnight sensation.

Convinced she’s going to be arrested, Emika is shocked when instead she gets a call from the game’s creator, the elusive young billionaire Hideo Tanaka, with an irresistible offer. He needs a spy on the inside of this year’s tournament in order to uncover a security problem . . . and he wants Emika for the job. With no time to lose, Emika’s whisked off to Tokyo and thrust into a world of fame and fortune that she’s only dreamed of. But soon her investigation uncovers a sinister plot, with major consequences for the entire Warcross empire.

What was That?????? Just AWESOMEEEEEE……

This is the first book I’ve read by Marie Lu and I AM OFFICIALLY A FAN *Hats off*

This is undoubtedly best book I have read this year and one of the best book I have ever read.

I don’t think my review will do any justice to the book, but still, going to ramble to pour out all of my excitement on this post.

I’ll try to keep my review short because I don’t want to spoil anything by my talkativeness.

I am neither a gamer nor have knowledge about codes or any of the related stuff, but the way this one is written didn’t make me uncomfortable while reading it, quick read and having enough details which make it easy to imagine everything about the virtual world. It was a combination of Action, Sci-fi, Thriller, YA.

EMIKA CHAN  🌈an 18 years bounty hunter and a hacker also have a criminal record, who is struggling in her life since her father sudden death left him in the foster house.Accidently reveal herself in the opening ceremony of Warcross, while trying to make some money by hacking the game😄 later hired by Hideo Tanakio as a spy for Henka Games.

“Every locked door has a key. Every problem has a solution.”

HIDEO TANAKIO is the creator of Warcross, a billionaire of reserve-complex nature, 21 years gentleman, who dresses to inspire *sigh*. The way his character was developed from being too private to starts to open up, JUST BRILLIANT. He is the hero( and a crush) of Emika, his life made her a skilled hacker.

“Everything’s science fiction until someone makes it science fact”

Definitely, both are going to my favorite characters list.

All the characters are diverse but well-connected. I used to struggle with remembering names of characters but in this case, strangely I remembered everyone from Mr. Asole to Zero.

I don’t know but I have this feeling that Kenn’s character has too much on his sleeve.

I had really high expectation from this one and I am not disappointed 😊

I literally had to coax myself to sleep the last night and dreams all night about warcross.I completed it in this morning, still can’t think about anything else.

I can’t WAIT for next book 🙎

I recommend it to any YA, Sci-fi reader.

Rating 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟+❤

PS. I am not ashamed of making this post-Emika Inspired 😂

What did you think about Warcross? Are you on Emika’s side or Hideo? Share your views 😊
